About
I’ve always loved small, underpowered European sports cars. By the time I could afford my first car, the Triumphs were too worn out and the Porsches were too expensive, so I “settled” for a 1995 Miata. I quickly fell in love with it. That car was everything I’d ever wanted in a car and completely changed how I felt about driving.
As an engineer, I understand mechanical systems, but working on cars has never come naturally to me. More than once, I’ve finished a repair only to tow the car to a shop to fix what I broke. Now that I have a garage, a decent set of tools, and some time to learn, I’ve started doing more of the work myself. I still end up at the shop occasionally, just much less often.
The information we all need is out there, but it’s scattered across forums, videos, and old blog posts. I built this site to collect the information I’m always searching for in one place: torque specs, fluid capacities, bolt sizes, maintenance schedules, etc. Hopefully it helps you too. If there’s something you’d like to see added, let me know - chances are I’m looking for it as well.
